Menu Not Showing
Diagnose and fix issues when your menu isn’t visible to diners.
Diagnostic Checklist
Go through each check in order:
1. Is Your Restaurant Published?
Check:
- Go to Settings > General
- Look for Published toggle
- Ensure it’s ON (green)
Fix: Toggle it ON and save.
2. Are Menu Items Published?
Check:
- Go to Menus > Items
- Look at the Status column
- Items should show “Published”
Fix:
- Select items in Draft status
- Use bulk action Change Status
- Select Published
3. Is the Menu Itself Published?
Check:
- Go to Menus
- Check menu status
- Should be Published, not Draft
Fix:
- Click on the menu
- Change status to Published
- Save
4. Are Items Assigned to Menu Sections?
Check:
- Go to Menus
- Open your menu
- Verify items are in sections
Fix:
- Drag items into sections
- Or assign via item edit
5. Is the QR Code Correct?
Check:
- Scan your QR code
- Verify it goes to your menu
- Not someone else’s or old URL
Fix:
- Generate new QR code
- Print and replace old one
Specific Issues
Menu Shows “No Items Found”
Causes:
- No published items
- Items not assigned to sections
- Filter hiding all items
Fix:
- Publish items
- Assign to sections
- Clear any active filters
Wrong Menu Showing
Causes:
- Default menu incorrect
- QR code links to wrong menu
- Multiple menus confusion
Fix:
- Set correct default menu
- Verify QR code destination
- Check menu assignment
Menu Loads But Is Empty
Causes:
- All items are Draft
- Items filtered out
- Section collapsed
Fix:
- Publish items
- Check diner’s filter settings
- Verify section has items
”Restaurant Not Found” Error
Causes:
- Restaurant deleted
- URL incorrect
- Account issue
Fix:
- Verify restaurant exists in dashboard
- Check URL for typos
- Contact support if persistent
Partial Menu Showing
Causes:
- Some items unpublished
- Category not on menu
- Section deleted
Fix:
- Verify all desired items are published
- Check menu structure
- Re-add sections if needed
Public View Testing
Test Your Menu
- Go to QR Code
- Click Preview Menu
- See what diners see
Open in New Browser
For accurate testing:
- Open incognito/private window
- Enter your menu URL
- See exactly what diners see
Test on Mobile
Most diners use mobile:
- Scan QR code with phone
- Verify display
- Test allergen filters
Cache Issues
Browser Cache
If changes aren’t showing:
- Hard refresh (Ctrl+F5 / Cmd+Shift+R)
- Clear browser cache
- Try different browser
Server Cache
Changes may take 1-2 minutes to propagate:
- Wait a few minutes
- Refresh the page
- Test again
Common Mistakes
Recently Changed Status
Items just changed to Published may need a moment:
- Wait 1 minute
- Refresh menu
Wrong Location Selected
For multi-location:
- Check location selector
- Verify items exist at that location
Accidental Filter
Check if you filtered items:
- Look for active filters
- Clear all filters
- Refresh
When to Contact Support
Contact support if:
- All checks pass but menu still hidden
- Error messages appear
- Issue persists more than 10 minutes

- Restaurant name
- What you see
- What you expect
