Generating QR Codes
Create and customize QR codes for your restaurant.
Accessing QR Codes
Navigate to QR Code from the sidebar to access your code management page.
Your Primary QR Code
Default Code
Every restaurant has a primary QR code:
- Automatically generated on account creation
- Links directly to your public menu
- Permanent and unchanging
Download Options
Download your QR code in multiple formats:
| Format | Best For |
|---|---|
| PNG | Digital use, small prints |
| SVG | Large prints, signage |
| Print-ready documents |
Size Options
Choose download size:
- Small (200px) - Business cards
- Medium (500px) - Table tents
- Large (1000px) - Posters
- Print (300 DPI) - Professional printing
Creating Additional Codes
Why Multiple Codes?
Track different sources:
- Table tents vs. window signs
- Marketing campaigns
- Social media links
- Different locations
Create New Code
- Click Create New Code
- Name the code (e.g., “Table Tent - March 2024”)
- Add optional description
- Click Create
The new code links to the same menu but tracks separately.
Customization Options
Code Style
Customize appearance:
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| Color | Change from black (ensure contrast) |
| Background | Transparent or white |
| Logo | Add your logo to center |
| Corners | Square or rounded |
Adding Your Logo
- Click Add Logo
- Upload your logo image
- Adjust size (keep small for scannability)
- Preview before saving
Note: Logos reduce error correction. Keep logos small (15-20% of code size).
Error Correction
QR codes have built-in error correction:
| Level | Damage Tolerance | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Low (L) | 7% | Clean environments |
| Medium (M) | 15% | Standard use |
| Quartile (Q) | 25% | Some wear expected |
| High (H) | 30% | Outdoor, heavy use |
Higher correction = larger code. Default is Medium.

Testing Your Code
Before Deploying
Always test:

- Check that menu loads properly
Troubleshooting Scans
If code won’t scan:
- Ensure minimum size (1” x 1”)
- Check contrast (dark on light)
- Remove glare or damage
- Try from different angle/distance
Printing Guidelines
Resolution
For print quality:
- Minimum 300 DPI
- Use SVG for large formats
- Use PDF for professional printing
Size Requirements
| Use Case | Minimum Size |
|---|---|
| Business card | 0.75” x 0.75” |
| Table tent | 1.5” x 1.5” |
| Counter display | 2” x 2” |
| Poster | 4” x 4” |
| Window sign | 6” x 6” |
Quiet Zone
Leave white space around code:
- Minimum 4 modules (small squares) on each side
- More space = easier scanning
Bulk Download
Download all codes at once:
- Click Bulk Download
- Select codes to include
- Choose format
- Download ZIP file
Useful for printing multiple code variants.
Best Practices
- Name codes descriptively - “Window Sign Downtown” not “Code 1”
- Test before printing - Verify scanning works
- Use appropriate size - Bigger is generally better
- Maintain contrast - Dark code on light background
- Track separately - Create codes for each source
