Review Settings

Configure how reviews are collected and displayed.

Accessing Settings

Navigate to Settings > Reviews to configure review collection.

Collection Settings

Enable/Disable Reviews

Toggle review collection:

  • On - Diners can submit reviews
  • Off - Review option hidden

Review Prompt

When to show review prompt:

Prompt Delay

How long before showing prompt:

  • Immediate
  • After 30 seconds
  • After 1 minute

Longer delays may get more thoughtful reviews.

Review Requirements

Rating Required

Always require star rating:

  • Ensures quantifiable data
  • Quick for diners
  • Cannot be disabled

Comment Optional/Required

Allergen Feedback

Prompt allergen-specific questions when diner used filters:

  • “Was allergen info accurate?”
  • “Did you feel safe ordering?”
  • Optional additional questions

Display Settings

Public Reviews

Show reviews publicly on menu:

  • Show All - All approved reviews visible
  • Show Highlights - Only 4+ star reviews
  • Hide All - Reviews not public

Review Count

Display total review count:

  • “Based on 234 reviews”
  • Builds social proof
  • Updates automatically

Average Rating

Show average rating:

  • Star display
  • Numeric (4.2/5)
  • Both

Notification Settings

Email Notifications

Get notified for:

Notification Recipients

Add email addresses for notifications:

  1. Click Add Recipient
  2. Enter email
  3. Select which notifications
  4. Save

Moderation Settings

Auto-Approve

Automatically publish reviews:

  • All - Instant publication
  • 4+ Stars - Auto-approve positive only
  • None - Manual approval required

Profanity Filter

Automatically hide reviews with:

  • Offensive language
  • Spam patterns
  • Suspicious content

Hidden reviews require manual review.

Minimum Length

Require minimum comment length:

  • Prevents unhelpful “good” reviews
  • Encourages thoughtful feedback
  • Set to 0 to disable

Allergen-Specific Settings

Allergen Feedback Prompt

When diner used allergen filters:

  • Show allergen-specific questions
  • Ask about information accuracy
  • Collect safety feedback

Questions to Ask

Customize allergen feedback questions:

  1. “Was the allergen information accurate?”
  2. “Did staff answer your allergen questions?”
  3. “Would you recommend us to others with allergies?”

Enable/disable each question.

Priority Flagging

Auto-flag reviews mentioning:

  • Allergen accuracy issues
  • Safety concerns
  • Staff knowledge gaps

These appear in priority queue.

Response Settings

Response Visibility

Who sees your responses:

  • Public - Anyone viewing reviews
  • Reviewer Only - Only original reviewer
  • Both - Public after reviewer sees

Response Templates

Save common responses:

  1. Click Manage Templates
  2. Create templates for common scenarios
  3. Access when responding

Response Reminder

Get reminded about pending responses:

  • After 24 hours
  • After 48 hours
  • Never

Data Settings

Retention

How long to keep reviews:

  • Forever
  • 2 years
  • 1 year
  • 6 months

Deleted reviews can’t be recovered.

Export Permissions

Who can export review data:

  • Owners only
  • All team members
  • Disabled

Aggregate reviews from multiple sources.
